A bit about Dundalk…

Dundalk is in the county town of County Louth, Ireland. It is on the Castletown River, which flows into Dundalk Bay, and is close to the border of Northern Ireland, equidistant from Dublin and Belfast. It has a combined rural and urban population of over 56,000 people, with an additional 6,000 people living in the environs of Dundalk. Dundalk is a bustling town with a strong arts (Theatre, Art & Photography & Music), sporting (Football, Rugby, Horse & Dog Racing, Fencing, Basketball, American Football, Tennis, Cricket, Cycling and Running Clubs) and cultural and mythology history. It is home to many multinational corporations including PayPal, EBay, National Pen to name a few and also boasts at third level educational institute, Dundalk IT.

Dundalk IT is the primary higher education provider in the North East of the country recongnised as one of the major third level institutions, providing wide ranging full-time and under graduate and post graduate courses, catering to over 5,000 students. Dundalk ‘s Bus station is operated by Bus Eireann and located at Longwalk near the town Centre. It is linked to Drogheda, Dublin Airport and Dublin. Ongoing infrastructure evolutions continue in and around Dundalk to meet a programme deadline of 2020. These improvements embrace the road, rail and telecommunications infrastructures for a better integration with neighbouring Dublin, Midlands Gateway and Cavan/Monaghan Hubs.
